Southern Living Shines the Spotlight on Searcy Again, Naming It One of the South’s Best Christmas Small Towns
Searcy is once again receiving national recognition for its Holiday of Lights efforts. Southern Living recently posted a video listing the Top Ten Best Christmas Small Towns in the South and Searcy earned a place on the list.
This marks the second consecutive year Southern Living has celebrated Searcy during the holiday season. In 2024, the publication named Searcy one of the Cutest Christmas Towns in the South, highlighting the city's magical light displays and beloved community traditions.
“We are honored and thrilled to receive this recognition again from Southern Living,” said Holiday of Lights Co-Chair Tonia Hale. “Our Holiday of Lights program is something our entire community takes pride in, from the thousands of lights across our parks to the family-friendly events. Being acknowledged on a national stage is really special.”
Southern Living’s feature mentions the various places there are to see Christmas lights around town and ranked it a ten out of ten. With lights at Berryhill Park, Spring Park, Yancey Park, Harding University, and downtown, visitors can experience holiday lights throughout the entire city.
“Searcy offers an experience that combines the feel of a small town Christmas with the light displays of a larger community,” said Holiday of Lights Co-Chair Tommy Centola. “It’s exciting to see Searcy getting the recognition it deserves.”
