Searcy Gears Up for the 2026 Arkansas Regional Robotics Tournament
The 2026 Arkansas Regional Robotics Tournament, part of the FIRST Robotics Competition, will return to Searcy March 19–21 at the Ganus Athletic Center on the campus of Harding University. The three-day event will bring together some of the brightest high school students in engineering, technology, and innovation from across the United States and Mexico.
This year’s tournament will feature 25 teams, including eight teams from Arkansas, competing with robots designed, built, and programmed by high school students working alongside their adult mentors. Each robot weighs approximately 115 pounds and stands 22.5 inches tall, showcasing months of teamwork, creativity, and technical skill.
During the competition, teams will put their robots to the test in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes problem-solving, collaboration, and real-world engineering challenges. The FIRST Robotics Competition is widely recognized for inspiring students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while also building leadership and teamwork skills.
The event is expected to once again bring significant energy and activity to the Searcy community, drawing students, mentors, families, and robotics enthusiasts from across the region.
The tournament is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend and support these talented students as they compete and demonstrate their innovative designs.
The 2026 Arkansas Regional Robotics Tournament will take place at the Ganus Athletic Center at Harding University in Searcy from March 19–21.
